The Lagoon 400 s2 catamaran is one of the most elegant designs from the popular French shipyard. If you want to spend the night on board, you will have to pay a small extra, since the skipper will have to work more hours, and we will have to equip and dress the cabins. The schedule in this case would be to board at 12:00 am and disembark at 9:00 am.
Our boat excursions leave practically daily from the beach of Cala Jondal in the South of Ibiza. There you will settle in at around 11 in the morning on one of our fantastic catamarans to sail towards Formentera. The catamaran sailing to Espalmador lasts approximately 60 minutes. You will be able to help the captain manage the catamaran and actively participate in the navigation, raising sails and helping with the tacks, a beautiful experience.
We will anchor in Espalmador, a small private island, wild and uninhabited, where there are only two small buildings. It is a true paradise with crystal-clear waters and fine white sand with a characteristic pinkish color of coral remains that has remained virgin thanks to its isolation.
In the center of Espalmador there is a bay of calm waters, which since ancient times has been used as a natural port and docking area. In the interior there are beautiful fields of dunes and pine and juniper forests. It is an idyllic place for a quiet walk, where you can go up to the watchtower, from where you have impressive views of Ibiza, Formentera and Es Vedra. Let’s go to a show.
One of the delights of this excursion to Formentera are the mud baths in Espalmador, and they are also very fun. Right in the center of this small island there is a space to take the popular natural mud baths. From the northern end of Platja de s’Alga there is a winding path between pine forests and some palm trees that leads to a salt flat.
Inside, people have made small natural jacuzzis of liquid mud, where you can enjoy the experience of floating in the mud. The process is simple, stir the bottom a little so that the mud mixes with the saline water, until it acquires a liquid consistency, and all that remains is to get inside and smear it up to your ears.
Although it has no recognized therapeutic benefits, on a sunny day, there is nothing more beneficial than rolling around and smearing yourself with fresh mud. Let it dry while you walk back to the beach and when it is dry, rub it off to create a natural peel. Finally, put yourself in the water to come out very clean, you will see how soft the skin is. A different experience and the children love it.
Our catamaran excursion continues to Formentera, to the beaches of Ses Illetes, the Mediterranean paradise. Ses Illetes is a group of small islands, which have been joined together by a narrow tongue of sand, creating small coves. In Illetes you have the sea on both sides, its waters are crystal clear and the sands are white with tiny pink tones, the result of the erosion of the corals.
The sea is full of meadows of poseidonea, an aquatic plant that makes the water so clean. The bottom decreases very slowly and you can enter the sea without fear since it is always calm, if not on the west side, then on the east side. The beaches of Illetas are a quiet place since access is complicated if not by boat, and people naturally practice nudism.
In Illetas we find the best beach bars in Formentera, emblematic places such as Es Ministre, Juan y Andrea, El Molí de la Sal, Beso Beach or El Tiburón, where we can go down to eat good rice and taste a sangria or a mojito. Around 7 in the afternoon we will set sail back to Ibiza, taking advantage of the breeze to unfold the sails of our catamaran and approach the beach of Las Salinas while the sun sets on the horizon.
